Jessie Lee Ferrell

We respectfully announce the passing of Mrs. Jessie Mae Ferrell, 68, of Haralson, Georgia Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 27, 2010 White Oak Grove Baptist Church located at 4619 Gordon Road, Senoia, Georgia at 2:00 p.m. Instate viewing will begin at 12:30 p.m.

Reverend Kenneth G. Bailey, Officiating.

Interment: White Oak Grove Church Cemetery The viewing will be Friday, February 26, 2010 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. the family will receive friends at 6 p.m.

On the early afternoon of February 20, 2010, God called another one of his angel’s home, MISS JESSIE LEE FERELL.

She was born to the late Merrell and Sallie C. Williams Ferrell on May 21, 1941. She was the third of ten children. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Melvin Jr., John II, Robert and Wade Ferrell, and one sister, Earlie Mae Ferrell Ward.

Jessie joined White Oak Grove Baptist Church at an early age. She served faithfully on the Usher’s Board until her death. She was a graduate of Central High School class of 1962. She was employed at Design Foods for twenty years and later Southern Mills.

She leaves to cherish her memories her two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Gerry (Cynthia) Dixson of Newnan, Georgia, and Mr. and Mrs. Darin (Donna) Dixson, Sr. of Portsmoth, Virginia; three grandchildren, Angelo Dixson, Jessica Dixson, and Darin Dixson, Jr.; two sisters, Miss Virginia Ferrell, Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Gloria) Caldwell; two brothers, Mr. George Ferrell and Mr. Nathaniel Ferrell all of Haralson, Georgia; five sisters-in-law, Grace Ferrell, Mildred Ferrell, Emily Ferrell, Gennie Ferrell and Annie Ruth Ferrell; two brothers-in-law, Lynwood Ward and Henry Caldwell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.


The Ferrell-Dixson family would like to thank each and everyone for your love and support through our time of bereavement. Your prayers and calls have strengthened and sustained us. May God continue to bless each of you.
